6 Hour Inshore Fishing Charter

Intro / Overview
Join Captain Drew for a private 6-hour inshore fishing charter departing from Punta Rassa Boat Ramp in Fort Myers, near Sanibel Island. This trip gives you more time than the 4-hour option, which means more flexibility to fish different areas, adjust to changing tides, and work the best available inshore bite for the day.

A 6-hour Fort Myers inshore fishing charter is a great middle-ground trip for anglers who want more fishing time without committing to a full day. It works well for guests who want to cover more water around Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach, Punta Rassa, and nearby Southwest Florida back bays, mangroves, grass flats, docks, and channels.

What We Target on 6 Hour Inshore Trips
With extra time on the water, we can fish a mix of areas and adjust as the tide and conditions change. Depending on season, tides, water clarity, bait, and what’s biting, common targets include:

  • Snook

  • Redfish

  • Seatrout

  • Mangrove snapper

  • Jack crevalle

  • Sheepshead

  • Smaller sharks and other seasonal inshore species

On some 6-hour trips, we may start around mangroves, docks, or structure, then move to grass flats, channels, or protected shorelines as the tide changes. Other days, we may stay in a productive area longer if the bite is steady. The extra two hours compared to a 4-hour trip simply gives your group more room to adjust and fish the conditions.

Who This Trip Is Best For
A 6-hour inshore charter is a strong choice if you:

  • Want more time than a 4-hour trip

  • Want to fish more of the tide cycle

  • Are serious about inshore fishing but do not need a full 8-hour day

  • Prefer calmer inshore waters instead of running offshore

  • Have mixed experience levels in your group

  • Want a private Fort Myers or Sanibel fishing charter with more flexibility

This trip works well for families with older kids, groups of friends, returning customers, and experienced anglers who want to target snook, redfish, trout, snapper, sharks, and other seasonal inshore fish with enough time to move and adjust.

What’s Included
Your 6-hour inshore charter includes a private trip for your group, licensed captain, boat, fuel, safety gear, rods, reels, tackle, bait when available, fishing licenses, ice, and bottled water. Cleaning and bagging of legal keeper fish is included when regulations allow.

You are welcome to bring snacks, personal drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a light jacket on cooler or breezy mornings.

Honest Notes on Tides, Weather, Season, and Conditions
Inshore fishing is always tied to tides, weather, season, water clarity, and bait. The 6-hour trip gives us more time to work with those variables, but it does not remove them.

A longer trip lets us fish more of the tide cycle. We may plan certain areas around a specific tide stage, then move as water levels, current, and bait activity change.

Even in protected waters, wind and weather can affect the plan. On windy days, Captain Drew may fish more protected creeks, canals, mangrove shorelines, or backwater areas to keep the trip comfortable and productive.

Species also change throughout the year. Cooler months may lean more toward trout, snapper, and sheepshead, while warmer months often give us better opportunities for snook, redfish, sharks, and other active inshore species.

Fishing is never guaranteed, but the extra time gives your group more flexibility to adjust and make the most of the day’s conditions.

Departure Location
